Mikhail Frunze

What makes a Eurasian destiny ? It is a journey that spans the landmass and a multifaceted action. In other words : diversity, greatness and a timeless legacy. Mikhail Frunze is one of those Eurasian destinies.

Mikhail Frunze was born in Bishkek from a Moldovan father from the Kherson region and a Russian mother from the Voronezh region. From taking part in the general strike of textile-factory workers, working at the redaction of a weekly gazette, being decisive in the early victories of the revolution over the White Russians to being a prominent member of the eastern revolutionary front, Mikhail Frunze’s journey went – amont other cities – through Bishkek, Almaty, St. Petersburg, Shuya, Irkoutsk, Zabaykalsky Krai, Moscow, Minsk, Osh, Samarkand, Bukhara, Türkiye.

A museum is dedicated to Mikhail Frunze in Bishkek and has been built around his place of birth. Besides being greatly informative about Mikhail Frunze himself, this museum offers a fascinating trip through time and the eurasian space.
